New Role for Staff Member and Two New Staff Members Join Chicago Education Project
(Hoffman Estates, IL) - Chicago Education Project is excited to announce the arrival of two new staff members. On November 20th, Aileen Rooney began as the new Director of Marketing & External Relations and Leo Cascio started as the new Director of Finance & Business Operations.
Aileen's responsibilities include marketing and branding; communications, public relations and social media; website development and management; external events planning, promotions and implementation; and assisting with development cultivation and fundraising initiatives. Aileen's professional experience includes Industrial Source, Inc., Kaplan University and Make-A-Wish Foundation and her volunteer experience includes St. Patrick's Residence and Ronald McDonald House. Aileen is a graduate of Providence College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Finance.
Leo's responsibilities include general ledger, accounts payable and receivables; monthly forecasting and financial reports; assisting with annual Purchase Care Board audit, rate analysis, and State Board regulatory compliance; and purchasing, vendor relations and bid process. Leo comes to CEP with over 20 years of finance, business management and accounting experience most recently Gigi's Playhouse, Inc., Chicago Urban League and the Illinois Department of Mental Health. Leo is a graduate of DePaul University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management.
Long-time staff member, Tara Longest has a new role as Director of Administrative and Operational Services. Tara will be the senior level administrator for operations and administration having a comprehensive range of responsibilities such as HR; benefits management; facility operations; risk management; emergency and safety preparedness.
